G80 Performance on PCI-E x8

Anyone have any information on the performance impact when switching to x8? You know, specially for boards that switch to x8 to utilize SLI (and the 650i).
 
Not sure, I'd think it wouldn't be that bad, unless you wanted x32AA. But like on an nForce4 or 650i, you can still do x16 in SLi (8+8=16).

Edit: Tell ya what, tomorrow I will reply to this post, I have a A8N-SLi Premium, and in SLi mode on my board it is x8/x8, and both of my 8800GTS's will be in tomorrow. So i'll let ya know how it goes.
 
that would be great, it doesnt seem there's any info on this anywhere on the interwebs :rolleyes:
 
Very little difference... Just be careful, not all 8800 cards will work properly with an 8x slot... BFG states a 16x slot as a REQUIREMENT...
