I'm looking for a blower style replacement heat sink for my g80 8800gts. Anyone have some recommendations? Reason i was looking into a blower style is because the heat goes right out of the back, instead of releasing all the heat back in the case. Am i wrong in thinking this is a more efficient design?
 
It's better generally speaking, but if you have good case airflow it really doesn't matter that much. The [H] did a G80 aftermarket HSF roundup a while back -- check that out for options and how they perform.
