I like a tactile, silent, feel to my keys, and the keyboard can't be too showy.

Other suggestions under 100 are welcome.

Tactile and silent are mutually exclusive unless you're deaf. Even Brown switches are noticeably louder than standard faire membrane mushboards. I'm just not sure how much quiet you are willing to give up in favor of tactility. You can reduce the noise a bit by using dampeners, but that also makes the keys feel different. I can't elaborate on that as I've never used them myself but I'm sure someone can give you their experience with them.

That said, I own both a BWU (the old blue-backlit one with Blue switches) and a CM Storm Quick Fire Rapid. The Rapid is definitely a more solid keyboard and it is quieter than the BWU, though not by much. It's just an overall more pleasant keyboard to type upon. I also ended up with the non-branded one (no logos on the top of the board) and it is definitely a far more subtle board than the shiny BWU with blue LEDs. My cousin recently purchased the CM Storm Quick Fire Pro with Brown switches and he seems to like it a lot. Brown switches are likely to be your best bet at still offering tactile (but not clicky) and being somewhat quieter than Blues. My preference is for Blue switches (and I'd love to try Greens) but everyone is different. Out of your choices, I'd pick the Trigger as it is the right combination of price and features. But, I'd say the Quick Fire Pro is more subtle.

Wait.

Are reds or blacks quieter, as I see it, loudest to quietest.

Blue
Brown
Red?
black?

Also how are the differences in the feel of reds and blacks?

Plus is the G710+ a red or black, it doesn't say

G710+ are browns only but they have o rings to dampen the bottoming out sound.

The difference between in sound Cherry MX Red/Brown/Black is unnoticeable for the most part; Black may have a more solid "thunk" from resetting, but only because the heavier spring.

O-rings change the sound of "bottoming-out" and make the feel much softer (I find unmodified MX reds to be mentally painful during long gaming sessions). People say they make the switches feel "mushy", but that's the incorrect term from my perspective; it's more like the difference between running barefoot on concrete vs. various mats.

Just keep in mind Red and Black switches are linear, as they lack the tactile bump of Blues, Browns, and Greens. You mentioned tactile as being important, hence my focus on Browns.

played around with the browns today trying to feel how tactile they are. unfortunately i didnt find them tactile at all, especially compared to blues.

I would avoid the Trigger, the build quality is suspect since it's made by iOne. If you want to stay under $100 Best Buy has the G710+ on sale this week for $99.

Wrong keyboard; the CMStorm Quickfire Pro is manufactured by iOne, the CMStorm Trigger is supposedly Costar.

If you want quiet you do not want mechanical IMO. I have the G710+ and I love it, but the Cherry MX brown switches are definitely not quiet, even with the O-rings they use to dampen the sound. That said, coming from a G11 membrane keyboard I find the keys to be very tactile and responsive. I like the keyboard a lot and if you turn off or lower the backlighting it's not showy at all, aside from the orange border around the macro keys on the left...

I purchased a G710+ to replace my G15 and I m quite satisfied. I did want something to control my media but an LCD screen was not necessary. The rocker knob was and pause/play features were plenty. The keyboard has great tactile response, good lighting, and not to loud; the sound of the keys is comparable to the G15 to me. A G15 membrane is quieter on the stroke side, but I was bottoming the keys out and that tended to make a lot of noise in itself. The tones are different but I think the comfort and response is very worth the slightly higher pitch versus less banging overall and more precise typing. If you have any questions let me know. I do plan to do a review/comparison soon.

I have (well above $100 to state upfront) a WASD V1 MX-Brown w/ .2mm dampers keyboard. I absolutely love this keyboard and with the dampers it is actually less noisy in real world use than my old Microsoft ergo 4000 was... It isn't silent but it is not super loud especially when I can be bothered to pay more attention and avoid unnecessarily bottoming out on each key press.

I also have a Rosewill mx-red keyboard (that i paid $25 for ... yay crazy newegg combo deal... but I wouldn't hold my breath on finding it for $25 again as it was likely a pricing mistake but whatever they shipped it..so...) anyways I found the rosewill disagreeably loud at first I have subsequently put some 50A-R (.4mm) o-rings on...

http://www.amazon.com/008-Buna-N-O-Ring-Durometer-Round/dp/B0051XWXCE/ref=pd_sim_sbs_indust_1

if i am honest i feel the .4mm o-rings messed with the feel of the keys on the rosewill more than I entirely like but it quieted the damn thing down greatly.

over all I prefer mx-browns with the .2mm dampers (you can order the .2mm dampers from WASD keyboards seperately for about $18

http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/cherry-mx-rubber-switch-dampeners.html

make sure you have a keycap puller before starting (i'd suggest the wire ones as they work better and don't bang up the keycaps like the plastic ones can. Figure on spending about an hour putting the o-rings on.. and watch some video tutorials first as to get an idea of how to deal with the larger keys with stabilizers.

but blah blah blah... I recommended mx-brown keyboard of your choice w/ the .2mm dampers for the best tactile + low~ish noise option.
