Does anyone have any experience with it? I have seen the 1st ed. of it and saw what people were talking about with the grip and such. But since the 2nd ed. has come out....what I'm wondering is if the grip is the same or if they changed it. If it is different, is it more like the mx series grip, or the G5 grip.

I just got mine from the $40 amazon deal. The new one has a grip identical to my g5 that it replaced. I also love how the usb transmitter is not part of the charging unit so I can take it with me easily on campus with my laptop.

I have one of the newer ones (black) and, I like it a lot. I switched from a Logitech MX518 and the sides of the mouse do feel different compared to the MX518--it's hard to explain but it feels more coarse. It's very responsive though, and the setpoint software works well. I haven't had an opportunity to fully test out the batteries though. One less wire to worry about on the desktop is great.

I have no grip problems with the first edition. I like the glossy look and feel. I also have the G5. I've been using the G7 a lot more often.

Total wireless setup: BT dinovo & G7.

Surprisingly I can't feel any lag in this setup!

the grip is the 1 thing i disliked for the G7, I kinda regret getting the G7 so early now :(

ther is more to newer version of the g7 than the color change.

its about 1/2 shorter, alittle heavier, and has better movement.I had to rma my first g7 and got the newer version as a replacement from logitech.

I like the new version much better

so is the grip more like the G5 or the MX series?

I hate my v1 G7, I'm considering offering up a trade for a G5. But I definately do not like it at the moment. Thinking I might tinker and spray some texture grip on it, but don't know yet. or just toss it and get a G5. It just doesn't ft my hand very well.

Got my g7 yesterday and after using it for a night I can honestly say it kicks the shit out of my old copperhead.

I never used the old g7 but this new black version is so titties. Its grip is somewhat .. idk.. coarse. Feels like. The top is a smooth finish and feels somewhat cool on your hand when you first touch it for the day.

Great mouse.

The G5 is the exact same shape as the G7.

I returned the mx1000 for the G7 because I thought the grip on the mx1000 was retarded, the mouse itself was so big, I do have big hands, but it just didn't feel right.

The G7 also have better tracking in games imo and I'm sure others will agree with me

Sick mouse, the only thing I dislike is that the right/left click buttons don't really grip on your fingers when your hands get oily, they kind of slip and you have to re-meneuver you finger's back to the position you'd like, hahah, that may just be me, but it would be nice to have some sort of grip on that part.

But like I said before, overall, this mouse is sick
