G1 hinge question

So I have a new G1, purchased AFTER T-Mobile started adding the headset adapter for the phone. Anyway, so I'm calling this a Ver.2 phone. Does anyone have either this "Ver.2" phone, or a "Ver.1" phone (one that came without the 3.5mm headphone adapter)? If you do, do you mind taking a picture of the phone, screen side up, focusing on the hinge location? My Ver.2 phone seems to show the hinge popping out of the lower section of the case. In other words, the sliding section of the phone (the screen) is not flush with the bottom part of the phone (the "chin").

Anyway, I don't know if that makes any sense, but does anyone mind taking a picture of their phone both open and closed focusing on the hinge? Thanks.

Here's a picture that I edited highlighting the section that I think is defective. I don't believe that phone in the picture is defective. I'll try to get a picture of mine uploaded as soon as possible.

seen a few white g1 come by my store already and i didn't notice that issue, my wife's g1 black shows up today so i can take a look

you can also just swing by your local tmo store and ask to see one of their inventory models

I checked the models at two separate stores before I bought my G1. Both stores had "version 1" of the phone and none of them had this hinge issue. Everything was flush with the chin. I got my version 2, and its not flush. I even had the second store where I bought my phone open another box for me, thinking it was a defect, and it was the same thing. I just want to see if all version 2 phones have this issue.

While it's not a full blown issue, the real problem is hinge longevity and the fact that the screen is slightly titled (it's higher on the right, chin-side, than it is on the left).
