G0 Q6600 @ newegg?

Didnt chance it with newegg. Clubit sells Q6600 and they tell you right on the page.They have 2 Q6600 listed. a BE one and a G0 one.
 
Recent reviews at teh Egg have been stating G0, no guarantees though. Frikkin Directron...I've sent a bunch of emails, not a single reply.
 
Are the B3 steppings out of production, and just the remaining stock trickling out of the warehouses so that soon all in inventory should be G0?

I'm probably going to buy in the next week or two and am just looking around for deals. If the B3s will be gone soon, I can wait a bit longer to ensure the G0 (if I don't decide to go with Clubit sooner rather than later).
 
Why not just go to ClubIT.......all their Q6600s are G0s.
Truth be told, I'm not sure this G0 thing is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Mine runs stable at 3.1 but is in the high 50s on a quad orthos with Nautilis water cooling.

I really cant OC much higher due to my 680i board not liking quads that much.:mad:

It's hard to pass judgement on your revision G0 Q6600 if you're running it on an Nvidia based board. The Nvidia boards have a good reputation and are about your only choice for SLI but there's no comparison between the Intel P965 or P35 chipset vs the Nvidia chipset when it comes to high FSB overclocking.

A temperature in the high 50C range is nothing for a Quad. You still have 40C more to go until the thing starts to throttle so don't be afraid to give it some more voltage if it needs it and try cranking it up some more.

There will be B3 processors popping up for months yet. If you want G0 it is best to go in person and look for SLACR on the outside of the box or order from a place that is willing to guarantee shipping you a G0 in writing.
 
In my opinion, I think there's a good chance you'll get a G0 from newegg.
I purchased mine last week and it was a G0.

But don't just take my word for it, since you can still get unlucky and get a B3.

Yes, the 680i boards have some catching up to do,especially the ASUS I have. I was skeptical of the evga models at first, buit they seem to be in the lead now with the A1 revision for SLI and OC the Quad core.:D
