I have tried a few things not sure if it is the monitor / video card or an issue with the G-sync module. I noticed while playing BF1, Overwatch and WoW my frame rates seemed much lower than they should be. Last night I finally decided to test a few things and would like to know if anyone else had this issue.
For one with G-sync enabled and V-sync enabled at 100mhz refresh rate frames were not buttery smooth when turning. Some games it was more noticeable than others. I tried different refresh rates and monitor settings with my X34 predator. WoW I noticed a huge issue with frames. My 1080 GTX was pushing 36-42 FPS with Gsync and Gsync enabled. When I turn off Vsync my FPS goes to 85-100.
I have read it is best to use G and V sync On in the Nvidia Control Panel and turn it off in game. But what is going on that the FPS in games would be cut roughly in half? It seems like a software issue more than hardware issue to me.
Also with V-sync enabled I notice very very slight horizontal line banning in games with it off the lines go away. Is it the monitor taking a dump?
