Here's the memory I'm considering.

Worth it? I was going to get a Corsair 6GB Dominator kit, but my employee cost went up rather dramatically.

the Ripjaws memory went head to head vs the Dominator and came out on top

might wanna consider going with G Skill, they have improved tremendously over the last few years

that's a review of their dual channel kit vs the dominator's dual channel kit

the same results will happen with triple channel

Corsairs have costed more than any other manufacter's for a while now and aren't neccessarily better anymore

I like both brands. Both are solid companies with solid products.

Does G-Skill make their new ECO series in triple-channel? I'd go with G-Skill even if they don't, its good stuff. Running their older DDR3-1600 Pi Black 1.9v in my Phenom II system and its rock-solid OCed while keeping the tighter timings.

Agreed. Price and compatibility with the motherboard would be the determining factor for me if it was a choice between the two companies.

Both are great companies.

However, I found out recently that my 6gb kit of Corsair RAM wont run at rated speeds (Its DDR3-1600 @ 8-8-8-24-1T 1.65v)

This was kind of disappointed as they are "guaranteed" to run at the rated speed and supposedly tested before they leave the factory. I guess thats a load of crap right...

Though, I cant be mad at Corsair though. They make some quality products. I have the 800d Obsidian case and HX1000 psu. I love them both.

That being said, GSkill has treated me well over the years too. I had some GSkill HZ DDR2-800 ram that ran beautifully.

Uh, RMA it. Mine run higher than rated if I wanted it to (1600 C7s, goes to ~1800 C7s without issue).

The ECO series is a low-voltage kit, yes, but you can get a 4GB DDR3-1600 7-7-7-21 kit that works on only 1.35v! That's energy savings AND performance, something I find very hard to argue against. I'm picking one of these kits up ASAP myself. If there were a triple-channel version of these, they'd be the way to go. Lots of good OCing on them so far, too.

The other G-Skill series RAM sets are just as good, though, the just require "normal" voltage :)

I'm a fan of both companies but G.Skill's generally cost a little less and perform as good or better.
Corsair's are starting to get the "brand name sticker prices" IMO.

corsair sets always seem top price to me. Loads of people seem to be recommending Gskill at present so give them a whirl.

I have run tons of Gskill the past couple years and it they have always OC'd well and I have not had one module go bad. Corsair provides a quality product as well, but like it has been mentioned, Gskill is usually cheaper and performs as well or better.

On a side note, always had awesome luck with Mushkin ram as well, which is my #2 favorite brand behind Gskill.

Going with the G.Skill. On reading a few reviews, asking some friends here at work, all seem to agree that the G.Skill is a great choice for an excellent price. I appreciate all your feedback and help!

Good choice. Corsair was great back when RAM was in the reasonable range of $30-$60 for 4GB. I converted to G.Skill based on cost alone and am perfectly happy - though I'm running the ECO CL7 4GB kit.

I have both GSkill Perfect Storm and Dominator GTs rated at 2K and both are great. The Corsair is Cas 7 and the GSkill are Cas 8 and they both OC very well. Can't go wrong with either brand
