G.Skill PC3200 - any thoughts?

yeah, they should be fine for minor oc'ing. from what i can tell, don't expect much over 220-230mhz though... but you might get lucky ;)

what rig is it going in?
 
I am going to be buying an Asus A8N Premium and a 3700+ San Diego. I am a big gamer and want to make sure I have decent ram to go with it.

I just got my sticks of TCCD pc-3200 and got it all the way to 2.5-4-3-7@306! DDR 612 ftw!

I dunno about their 2gb sets tho. I hear they don't overclock as well. :( depends on what ur gonna do with it tho.

Unfortunately, Samsung TCCD IC chips only come in a 256Mbit density, which would result in a double-sided 512MB module containing 8 IC chips per rank (a pair of 512MB sticks make up a 1GB set). A 1GB module using TCCD chips would have been a double-sided stick containing a whopping 16 IC chips per rank - 32 IC chips in all, which the Athlon 64 memory controller and most Intel chipsets do not support since they are limited to a total of 18 IC chips maximum per DIMM slot (there is some cross-loading between the two ranks of the same DIMM slot)! Thus, a 1GB module that's double-sided with 8 IC chips per rank requires 512Mbit-density IC chips. Right now, most 1GB sticks (or 2GB sets) use Infineon IC's or Samsung UCCC IC's.
