I am running an Abit nf7-s with a 420 watt thermaltake psu. The problem is this, every once in awhile when I try to play doom3, my settings are on ultra with 4x anti, the card slows to a crawl, I exit out and I get a nvida warning saying my card is not getting enough power so it drops the core and mem speed. I get out the old multimeter and check the power output from the molex coming from the vid card and it checks out fine at 12.1v. The card has its own power from the psu. This problem will only happen right when I starts to play, if it doesnt happen then it wont happen at all. I also have the fx5900 biosed to fx5950.

Try lowering your Doom3 settings...

well I could lower the settings but it does play fine at the the ultra setting. This power loss doesnt happen all the time.
