I am just wondering how much better a 256mb fx5500 would perform over a 128mb 9600, both agp.

In heavy DX9 things, I'd expect the fx5500 to be about 30% of the 9600's speed, tops.

You didn't step in a big pile of marketting, did you?
 
awesome :) thanks, i was looking at this 256mb fx5500 for $50 from amazon. but i have the 9600 so more money for booze and whores. thanks all.
