Hello AMD Brothers,

I am a newbie at building PCs.

I am building my first high end PC with the following:
- AMD FX-53 (939)
- MSI KN Neo2 Platinum
- Ultra ULT31554 X-Connect 500W
- 2 GB Corsair XMS DDR400(PC3200)
- WD Raptor 10,000rpm (non-raid)
- EVGA NVidia 6800 GT
- Thermaltake VA3000 Dream Tower Tsunami VA3000SWA ATX
- Audigy2 ZS

I don't plan on OCing right now, but maybe down the road.

Here are my questions:
- Will the stock fan that comes with the FX-53 work while playing games like Doom3 for hours?
- If i go this route:
Thermalright Copper Heatsink "SLK948U"
Thermaltake 90mm BLUE LED Fan
a. Will it fit with my mobo and case setup?
b. How do you mount the fan to the heatsink?
c. Where do you plug the fan in?

Thanks for your help!!!!

I have no idea about the stock HSF......

A. no idea
B. its different with all of them and I dont feel like researching :p
C. there is a 3 pin connector on the MOBO next to the socket that it goes in

we didnt even bother running stock cooling.. but amd stock is great cooling in general.. ppl even overclock with amd stock.. if you get a thermalright cooler you want the sp97 with a tornado... in my opinion it is not worth it and just get the zalman

Im running the Zakman on my FX-53 and it works just fine not a bad buy for the money.
