I have a Dell D600 and installed the ATI Mobility Radeon drivers from their website for my laptop, and no matter what I do, everything on the screen is slightly fuzzy. I checked and the font is set to cleartype... So, I don't know.... any ideas?

Are you sure it's set to the native resolution of your monitor?

The monitor on my server gets like that from time to time. Then I wipe the dust off it and it works like new. :p

Sorry, that was the first thing I thought of when I clicked on this thread.

Is this a external CRT your having trouble with? If so its probably the A-board going out on the monitor... buy a new bigger better one..

If its the LCD, and rolling back the drivers doesn't correct the issue, then you have physical damage to the video card or the LCD..

Good luck!

Its the LCD on the laptop, odd thing is it started to occur when I reformated and re-installed XP. I tried to install the ATI drivers from their site, but it wouldn't let me, saying my card was unsupported....

Yeah I've tried different resolutions, no luck...and yup, tried wiping it off :)
But have you tried the native resolution?

Which does not actually have to be in the list of available resolutions.

my CRTs do that when the refresh rate is set too high. I suppose that would only be applicable to my old, crappy, $5 CRTs though?

Did you check dell's website?
