Hi

In early 2017 i am gona go a littel crazy with a new pc that shall be my new gaming pc for ages to come.
And i am looking on this hardware ( see list below ) And i dont know what PSU i am gon abuy for this setup but
i can emagine i need over 9000 W !! joking..I need a 1000-1200 w PSU modular.

What brand should i go for. I have a seasonic 1000 W now but its at least 4 years old, so i wont reuse old hardware in this
new pc. I want it to be super sillent and modular and 1k W at least.

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-RAMPAGE-V-EDITION-10/ - MOBO
https://ark.intel.com/products/94188/Intel-Core-i7-6850K-Processor-15M-Cache-up-to-3_80-GHz - CPU
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231930 - Ramm

Then i have the following hardware

2 x SSD HDD ( maybe 3 if i buy 1 more )
2x IDE HDD
2 x 970 GTX Sli
1 x DVD/CD drive
+ Several coolers

Also what cpu cooler and case should i choose..
I like coolermasters cases.

*Remember the motherboard has som ekind of external sound box that takes up 1 DVD drive slot in front of the case.
So no "front doors" on the case.

Thx so far

-As my 1st choice for the wattage between 1000-1250 would be Thermaltake Toughpower DPS-G 1250 ( http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/-thermaltake-toughpower-dps-g-rgb-1250w-psu,4696.html ). It uses a new CWT platform (CST) and has excellent performance as well as quiet operation.
(*BUT be carefull because Thermaltake's lower wattage models don't use the same new CST platform, so if you pick a Toughpower DPS-G choose this specific model:cautious: EDIT: PartNumber: TPG-1250D-T / Model: TPG-1250DH3FCT)
-Specifically for the 1000watt category, i would recommend Corsair RMi 1000 ( https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Corsair/RM1000i/ ) since it also has great performance with low noise.

No idea why you're choosing a top tier mobo and then go on to get a cheaper CPU. Focus your budget on getting the best cpu you can and upgrade your 970SLI to a single 1070 for a real upgrade.

Like others lately, you probably don't even need to upgrade most of your system, but that's hard to say without you listing your current build.

Your planned system would have a hard time demanding 650 watts, let alone 1000 watts. If 970 SLI is all you can afford, consider stepping down to a 750 watt PSU for a larger GPU budget. If dual GPU is all you are ever going to do without watercooling, a 850 watt PSU will be more than sufficient.

While this is true, he probably already has a good PSU if he's already running both cards. Likely no need to replace what he has, and is better off just using those funds for something else.

So many guys on here lately wanting to upgrade shit just for the sake of upgrading. It's not going to futureprooof your build to step up from mediocre to slightly less mediocre, ffs...

Also, there's absolutely no need for 32GB RAM unless you're going to be playing around with VMs or need a RAMDISK. upgrade your crappie GPUs already, which will boost your real world gains much more (or get a better monitor for a better everyday experience while doing anything).
