yeah, i know its been posted all over the place, but i've gotten pretty pissed with the current ones. the benq doesnt scale right, and the samsung and dell's just arent up to par. all this waiting for nothing... so what am i looking at now is the upcoming NEC 24WMGX2, BenQ Z model, or the LG L245WP. unfortunately there is no real info out on these things (ie pricing, release dates), which leaves me with not much hope. Anyone else here in the same position? or at least does anyone know anything about these things coming up? i cant take this waiting anymore...

I'm exactly with the same problem or even worse. So much waiting and huge dissapointment. I don't hope FP241WZ will have proper scaling - manual for this LCD is allready at benq site and clearly state no 1:1 or any other mapping, full stretching.
So now I'm waiting for NEC 24WMGX2 or LG L245WP. I'm a bit worried that NEC 24WMGX2 won't be available in Europe like 20WMGX2. So I'm left with LG  I'm so angry ...

Regards

ive given up and settled on the 37" westy.

I even took a big piece of styrofoam and cut it to spec and have it sitting on my desk... just to get a feel for it. It will be nice to be able to lean/slouch in my chair and still see the screen/work/watch HDTV/xbox.

I'm in the exact same position. I've waited for years to get an LCD. I still have an 19" CRT monitor that I got almost 6 years ago. I'd been waiting for the Benq since my first choice, the dell, had major issues...and now the Benq..althought perfect in every other way does the one thing I hate the most, stretching. I just can't stand it. So now I'm back to square one.

I will wait in patience for new 24" NEC. Hope will be able to get it in January in Europe.

Personally I'm getting the Benq anyway. I'm sick of waiting, I have been for 2 years. I'm sure the next monitors will have quirks too. For me I'd rather deal with the stretching than be confined to my 17" crt. If I had something larger like some people i may be more prepared to wait.

Worst situation is you could sell the display later on to upgrade to the newer ones.
