Fury x reviews not consistent

Don't read a single source. You probably get a more comprehensive overall picture the more reviews you read. There are so many variables that each review focuses on asome of them so far as I can tell no single source accounts for them all.

Yes, it is somewhat slower at certain titles and gets within a few frames on other titles. There are a few titles where the 980ti is just faster period. Does that mean it is a bad card? No. Just means that for the price it is a tad bit out of it's league.

If you have to buy something today I would go with the 980ti. Inevitably there will be an AMD driver that boosts it's speed. I wouldn't buy based on speculation. Also the 980ti overclocks well if you're into that type of thing.

57c on the Fury is nice though if that matters to you.

Also taking into consideration that nVidia will be far from done optimizing drivers for their latest cards.
 
The only two review sites I tend to trust are [H] and Guru3D...the rest to me are more fluff and less substance...

There are a few reasons, testing on different hardwares and the testing metodology itself.
Its also might be the wrong driver as AMD ftp site might have had the wrong driver up. (not confirmed yet tho)
That might be a huge mess with that.

Those buying Fury and having Titanx before seems to really enjoy the Fury x

I kinda do the exact same thing...both sites have very different angles and reading both gives a good idea of what to expect (from reading only 2)

The other sites just provide canned tests, both Guru3D and [H] really get into the nitty-gritty (Into the weeds) as it were and give a through digging into what the cards do...
 
guru3d has it up there with titan x and 980ti in 4k tests though.
 
Because FuryX is an inconsistent performer at varied resolutions and settings.

The only clear consensus the reviews have provided thus far is that it isn't a clear superior card to the competition.

In its current state it's kind of in limbo. Neither bad, nor incredibly great. The look and design is probably one of the best features about it in the market. I'm honestly floored with how gorgeous it looks.
