They should have released that instead of the 480 which is laughable.

Wait, what? What does the fury X have to do with anything? It's not like they can 'port it' to 14nm, it would have to be redesigned...
I said they should have released 14nm furyx respin instead of 480, whatever would have to be changed, they can do it, that's what they do, redesign stuff

Why would they not release Vega and call it a day? Why would they make a high performance part at 250$. It's not like AMD is in the business of bleeding money lol. Why use HBM on a cheap part?
There's Polaris and there will be Vega, I'm sure they'd have already released the latter if they could.
What makes you think a 14nm Fury X would cost 250

why use HBM at all? gtx1080 is doing fine without it,
what makes you think it would cost more?, they already have the design, they don't need to recoup any r&d,
and i can imagine the retail fury sells have been abysmal in the last few months

4Gb of ram doing that, every other card it's fighting with has 2gb more at minimum. Thought HBM has no real world advantage? In DX11 to boot.
