i shut the system down and let sit over night
boot up the next morning, everything works as expected.

i shut the system down and turn off the power supply switch, let sit overnight
boot up next morning, log on and everything is good for 5 mins than my screen turns off (no signal) and stays that way until i reboot after which everything is good.

i'm running catalyst drivers 5.12 and 5.13 are doing this.
