when i turn on my comp for the first like 20 min it sounds like a freakin coffee pot, my friends exos doesnt do this, then i can see some air bubbles go through the block. is this because there is to much air in the resavor and it has nowhere to go except for the pump?

turn off your computer a.s.a.p ..drain your system and refill with new distilled water and the koolance soultion or something close...i learned the hard way that a few air bubbles can add up to a dead pump ... i just had a Koolance (case version ) die on me cause i left it on while i was on vacation and turns out there where a few air bubbles that caused the pump to go south :(

so the airbubbles can screw up the system, its been doing this for about a month now

i tried to e-mail koolance about 2 weeks ago about this problem, but of course no reply.

i wont have time probably until tuesday, will i be fine, ive been using it for a month and the pump has been just fine

edit: would i have to drain the whole thing too, isnt there another way to let the air out.

no not really a refill is the best way to do it .. just don't wait to long or it will die on ya

Turn off the power, unhook the CPU water block and lay it down in the bottom of the case, power up JUST the EXOS just like you did or were suppose to do when you first set it up, and run it untill you don't see any more bubbles pass through the WB !
You may have to move the WB around a bit to help the air in finding a way out!
Once the air is gone, top off the res again and keep doing this untill the res is FULL and there is no more air passing the WB Re mount the CPU WB and have a nice day ! :)

im just going to refill the whole thing tommorow, its running pretty good right now, but ill still refill it just to be sure, when i refill it should i lay my computer down or keep it up right. when i filled it for the first time i had my comp laying down, and yes the unit was above the computer.

air bubbles should go away after a few days... not sure why yours arent.. something must be wrong... ive changed blocks a few times and get a few air bubbles that get trapped inside the block but they go away after a couple days or so

Are you using the external kit or the Exos case? There should be a plug on the bottom of the reservior. If your using the case version, simply turn it upside down and do what oldbrave said. If your using the external version, you can lay the case down on its side and lift the reservior out and top it off. (just make sure its the highest point in the system when you take the plug out)

Having air in the system is not that big a deal so long as it is in the top of the EXOS tank. If you hear gurgling sounds you should get the air out of the system by doing what it says in the manual you got. If you don't have the manual you can DL a nice full color version off the koolance website http://www.koolance.com/support/manuals.html

Whenever I unhook my EXOS unit I often get bubbles going through the system when I hook it back up. Usually a big bubble is stuck in the cooler at the inlet side. I gave up on trying to get it out and within a couple of days it had dissapeared...ending up in the top of the tank :)

When I see a whole big bubble in the top that seems to be of an issue I simply do what the manual says and out comes the air. I'm not sure it is entirely possible to get all the air out even by tilting the main unit till the coolant almost comes out.

BTW, do you have a tower or a flat case? I can see more problems getting air out if you have the mb parallel to the desktop.

my friend came over and he told me my reasavor is just really low on water, and i wouldnt have to refill it just top it off with more distilled water and i should be fine, what do ya think, should i top it off or go for a full refill?

are you all using the koolance water blocks? if so, how are the working for you, temp wise? I've been hearing that they're bad, but newegg only sells koolance blocks. :[

Top it off, I don't see any reason why you would need to drain it.

koolance 200G is probably the best 1/4 barbed block you can buy for low flow rates. obviously with higher flow pumps there are much better alternatives but if your gonna use the exos, the 200G is probably the best you can get.

well i ended up refilling the whole thing, i had the time, i bought a new PSU why i was at it:D . but now no bubbles so far and quite. took about an hour to get all the air out though. but i still have a little air at the top of the resavor that seems impoosible to get out, this is normal though rite?

o yah, and this block is wonderful with the exos, good quality and cooling, its the best block to use with this smaller hosing

my temp seems to be running 5F hotter than normal after i filled it, i didnt take off block either, i did get that antec 550 watt though, do u think its just getting my case thus my cpu hotter?

Quite possible. But as people have mentioned earlier. Every time you refill it. You refill it with air too :)

Wait a few days and then check the temps.

yah true, ill just let it go for a few days and maybe itll get better, my temps still arent that bad, 42C load at 1.85V. the voltage makes it alot hotter.
