Excellent, I also had some good news. I found out today that a client is going to pay some money that I'm owed (over £2k), which I had written off.. Feels good.

Oh and I found out today that a cancer charity I done a ride for last year has made a breakthrough.

I hear you man, we had PA's last month and comp increases are due next month. Fortunately for me my department is filled with a lot of people who not only suck at their job but actively oppose strategic initiatives and goals. Since the raise pool is relatively static, their poor performance should be just as positive a contributor to a healthy raise for me as my own good performance.

Haha thanks, I'm not quite narcissistic enough for politics.

I also don't know how anyone will be a politician in 20 years as the generation who has had online access since they were 15 like myself starts running for office. Opponents and pundits are already able to find dirt on nearly any politician, imagine what it will be like when they can simply find your online handles and look at every forum post you've ever made...

dunno.. but I am gonna bring by a transcript in the morn so they won't be lacking in paperwork...

it would be sizable... guys that had completed one year were getting more this past summer than me... and I was almost done with 2...
it does vary group to group... but the 2nd year college guys were getting $18 compared to my $13.5 I have gotten 1 bump since I started 3.6 years ago...
then freeze on spending and stuff blah blah blah shoulda got a raise this summer... meh...now is better than never... especially if I get a 2 level bump....
