• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Fun with forum e-mail addresses

I've been lurking on these forums for many years, and registered since 2007. At the time I used my Telus e-mail address to sign up, since the forum won't accept a gmail/hotmail/etc address. Now I've switched internet providers and the e-mail address I signed up with is about to be switched off. I figured I'd update my profile here, only to discover that this site still refuses to accept a free e-mail address. Even if the account was created with a paid one years before.
So because the site won't let me use any of my e-mail accounts because they can't be traced, my account will instead list an e-mail address that doesn't exist. Because that's so much better.

For added irony, if you try to register with a banned e-mail service, the error message contains a link to e-mail the site administrator. The link is broken! :D

It get seven more fun....

(6) No Web based EMAIL ACCOUNTS (i.e Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc) allowed for forum registration. You must have a valid e-mail account where you can be reached by a forum moderator or administrator. Email accounts must be updated in your account when a change is required.

Sorry you do not like our policy which is needed to make our boards run smoothly. I will terminate your account immediately so no irony is wasted on you.

As for the broken link, it is on purpose. It stops the 100 mails a day from idiots asking if they can use gmail after reading the message.
