Hey guys, I havn't posted here in a while but I really can't seem to find a keyboard that I like. I was thinking to try and get a full size/layout keyboard that has laptop keys/keystrokes on all keys. As simple as possible is best (no extra crap like function keys (ESPECIALLY F-lock)) but if anyone knows of a keyboard that is like what I'm looking for it'd be a world of help. Thanks!

The apple keyboard has preety short keystrokes and is very quiet. In fact im using it on my windows pc right now to type this reply. :D

Is that apple keyboard a fullsize board or is like some micro one? I really need one to be fully compatable with all games. Including games like FFXI that require the numpad to walk.

Do you know anywhere I can get that BTC board in the US?

Whoa, "Laptap" could totally be the name of a new revolutionary keyboard. Good title typo :p

No, but really, it could.

It depends on what kind of apple keyboard you get. The standard one that you can get at lets say, CompUSA is a fullsize, however, if you search, there are some aftermarket ones I beileve, I know my buddy has a smaller version of the apply keyboard.

To find the smaller version, I'd suggest eBay, or MacOSX.com.

Have fun and good hunting.

I've got one of these at work and they're not too bad. Definately not as quiet as my Saitek Gamers Keyboard, but not too bad. It does feature the flat keys like a laptop though, and is a full size keyboard to boot. The only downfall is that I wish it were USB instead of PS/2. :p

Logitech UltraX (Y-SX49)

Review... with better Pics

Oh man, 1337... the logitech you suggested is just exactly what I was looking for. Full size keyboard with laptop like keys and without a bunch of useless crap that I don't want or need.

I was actually suprised by the heft this keyboard has to it, it seems so much more dense and higher quality then my logitech elite or no-name generic board I had before.

Thanks!

Glad I could help out.

I will agree on how much heft it has to it. It looks light and semi-chinsy... but then you go to lift it and your whole view of the keyboard changes. Its very solid built with the standard layout. A nice color scheme and medium keyweight for your keystrokes, and fairly quiet to top things off. The only thing I wish they had done differently on it would be what I said earlier... I wish they made it USB instead of PS/2.

I've used mine at work for well over a year now and haven't had any problems with it at all. Hope you have as good of luck with yours. :D

A buddy of mine was looking for something similar to what I wanted just now and I just showed him the Ultra X in pictures and he said he's going to order one tonight. Definitly the best keyboard I have ever seen/used.

Actually, on the USB thing, even though it is not as versatile with other machines; in the past I have had problems with USB keyboards and its just kind of nice to go back to a reliable PS/2 platform for me. I'm sick of hearing my BIOS declare "no keyboard detected" haha.
