i'm having an issue setting up an ftp server that i can't figure out. i can only connect to it if my client is set to port 20? anyways.. here are screenshots.. maybe someone can figure this out.
Here is my port forwarding. as you can see.. my port 21 is forwarded on the router to my computer IP of 192.168.1.2
my port range is forwarded from 2000-2010 to take care of the PASV connections.
my FTP Server is set to port 21.. same as everything else
my CLIENT is set to port 21 also.. and i get "Connection Refused"
however, as soon as i change the CLIENT'S port to 20... everything works. Why doesn't it work on port 21? i'm on XP with SP2 and all firewalls turned off. as well as security settings off.
