The FTP sites we create at my workplace won't open with IE. Users have to open the site via Windows Explorer then login. On one of our users computer when I type in the FTP address in the address bar of Windows Explorer it automatically launches IE and wants to open the FTP site in IE. Any idea how I can prevent IE from launching and use Windows Explorer for my FTP browser? I have checked Internet Options and Programs tab but FTP isn't listed under Internet Programs.

Thanks

The exe that gets launched is stored in:

HKCR\FTP\Shell\Open\Command\(default)

Change this to your exe and it should open it for you.

I had to delete the ddeexec key in there to stop an error from occurring... there might be a better way to do it, but it seems to work just fine.
