Surprised I haven't seen anyone doing this yet - so I thought I'd share. The USB3/Audio mobo header cables in the FT03 Mini are egregiously long, as seen here:
Just look at that mess.
Being anal about cable management, I tried to route them under the board, no go. It's obvious from fiddling with them that the plastic piece they come out of has extra room inside, but good luck trying to push them up into it - there's a divider in the middle blocking them. (Didn't get a pic of this, my bad.)
Turns out this piece is actually two pieces snapped together, and they can be taken apart and put back together without damage:
Obviously a bad pick, but under my finger you can see that middle piece. I got them apart by pressing on one side until it opened ... I, of course, take no responsibility for you breaking it!

Let's use it:
Tape is there to show the "cutout zone" i.e. where the divider is.
Result:
I didn't bother winding up the switch/LED headers, those will easily go under the board.
TL;DR: Small problem, simple fix, thought I'd pass it along.
