FT02 Fan control not working

Hey guys,

I got my FT02 back in 2010 and it's always had this issue where when I put any of the 3 fan control switches (at the top of the case) on High, the fan will spin, but if I put any of them on Low, they just turn off. My impression was that High would be a faster (louder) spin and Low would be a quieter spin.

Currently, when they're spinning, they're very quiet. Is there something wrong with the controller or perhaps how I'm connecting them to my psu/mobo?

Thanks

Are you using the stock fans?

Yeah I am. Although I believe the stock 180mm fans are pretty good but I'm thinking of replacing them with the newer thinner profile fans for the FT02.

I got a response regarding this issue I'm having with my case from Silverstone after I sent them an email:
"The fans will not spin on LOW because they are not getting enough power form the motherboard header and that is because the motherboard controls the speed on the fans which is normal, but if you want to manually control the fans using the switches you must connect the fans straight to the power supply 12V rails using a fan adapter or turning off the fan controller option on your motherboard under Bios. "

I think I actually have the fans plugged straight into my PSU though as my PSU has 4 4-pin connectors for fans so maybe I'm doing something else wrong. I'll have to take a closer look.

as silverstone replied, my first guess was u were powering them from the mobo header, in which case low would turn them off. double check they are wired to the psu!
