Hello I am interested in a FSP power supply because my old one just isn't cutting it nowadays with new videos cards like the 8800's and 200's. So I was wondering what do you guys think about FSP power supplied? Are they one of the top manufacturer should I ignore them and go for another company?

Thanks =]

We sale them where I work, we carry the 1010w FSP but I know it got a bad review here if I remember correct, anyways, we dont seem to get many returns on them, they seem decent. We trust them enough to use them in our system builds, so that says something I guess.

which FSP are you interested in? Some of their designs have been dinged for having high ripple.

I'd go with another company. FSP is too inconsistent, and there are other brands that you can count on to get a good PSU, like Corsair and PCP&P.

mhmm the silvertone one seems very tempting seeing that it is almost the exact same as the Zalman and is modular.

So would you guys say the silvertone one is better than the Zalman/FSP power supply?

well not I'm stuck between these two power supplies which do you guys think will be better.

Silverstone by a far margin since it's cheaper yet still of great quality. That ABS PSU is more expensive than the significantly better quality BFG ES-800 PSU. Hence the ABS is a not a good buy in terms of bang for the buck.

FSP CAN be good, but are a little inconsistent. I would go with somebody else. Actually, most of the major player have sometimes had stinkers, but you probably can't go wrong with most of the newer stuff.
