Hey, i was just wondering if u cud run a slower fsb processor at a faster speed. Like running a 800mhz fsb in a 1066mhz fsb?
 
Running a 266 MHz FSB chip at 200 MHz, thus forcing a divider?

Or using DDR2-800 with your "1066 MHz FSB processor"?
 
Alrite, so i want to upgrade my motherboard and i want to do it without paying to much. So, i found a 3.2ghz Pentium D with a 800mhz fsb. So, could i run the Pentium D on a 1066/1333mhz type of motherboard?

The first post, you have asked whether or not you can overclock it. Second post, you ask whether or not it is possible to run an 800MHz FSB part on a motherboard that supports a faster FSB speed. Either way, yes, but make your posts a LOT clearer please.
 
Check the board's manufacturer site to make sure it supports the FSB of the CPU, and also if it supports the actual CPU. If so, you can use the CPU in that board... simple as that.

Formulas for Intel platform @ 1:1 settings: (base FSB speed is SDR, or single data rate)
c × [Base FSB speed] = CPU Clock speed (c = CPU Multiplier)
2 × [Base FSB speed] = RAM speed (DDR: double data rate)
4 × [Base FSB speed] = Effective FSB speed (QDR: quad data rate)

On Intel platforms, running the RAM higher than a 1:1 ratio with the CPU is, for the most part, useless, so don't bother trying to do so. If the BIOS does it for you, just let it. All you need is a 1:1 config, though. Here's some possible clock speeds (as always with OC'ing, your results will vary):

E2160: 9 × 200 = 1.8Ghz, DDR2-400 << STOCK speeds
E2160: 9 × 266 = 2.4Ghz, DDR2-533 << Simple OC
E2160: 9 × 333 = 3.0Ghz, DDR2-667 << Nice OC
E2160: 9 × 378 = 3.4Ghz, DDR2-756 << Great OC, near its max on good air

FYI, a 1.8Ghz E2160 will outperform a Pentium D 3.0Ghz. If you have a Fry's near you, theres a combo deal for an E2180 + ECS 945GC board for $88.

Yes.

Mobos with newer Intel chipsets typically run all previous chips.
