I have a p5b-deluxe w/ 507 bios and am having serious problems overclocking the FSB. My RAM is the Corsair TwinX PC-6400 and my CPU is a E6600.
At stock speeds (266mhz FSB) and running my RAM at DDR2-800, I am orthos stable.
I then reduced my multiplier to 6x, and set FSB at 333mhz (DDR2-666) and a CPU speed of 2.0ghz (downclocked from 2.4ghz) and I am not orthos stable. I have tried:
1) Leaving everything but RAM and CPU voltages on auto.
2) Increasing NB voltage to 1.45, 1.55 and 1.65.
3) Increasing FSB termination voltage to 1.3 and 1.4.
4) Increasing SB voltage (dont remember the values).
5) A combination of 2, 3, and 4.
All without success. Strangely, the more I increase the chipest voltages, the less stable things seem to get.
HELP!
