I have a 2.4c that can run a 5:4 ratio (ddr400) at 3 ghz with the memory at 2.5, 3, 3, 6 or a 1:1 ratio (ddr484) at 2.9 ghz with the memory at 2.5, 3, 3, 8... All I do is game and encode stuff... Would I benefit from the bigger memory ratio or higher mhz?

Thanks.

id go for 3.0 with 5:4. my system will do 271 1:1 but i run it at 284 5:4. i still get 6+gb/s of memory bandwidth so im happy.

Even though Pentium 4's need alot of bandwidth, there is a limit to how much they can use. So in those instances clock speeds make more of a difference than memory bandwidth.

Generally speaking, go with more clock speed. The best way to find out is clock the shit out of your CPU, bench, then clock the CPU down and time your mem and then bench. That will give you the best option.
