FSB limit on nforce 3 chipset?

Hey guys. I posted this in the motherboard section but didn't get much help. Since this also relates to overclocking...

I have a Gigabyte GA-K8NS board with a 3000+ A64 chip. Today I picked up some OCZ PC4200 EL RAM for an overclocking article I am planning. However, at 2.5-3-3-8 timings (default for this RAM) I am unable to get much over 230 1:1. Even if I loosen the timings, I still can't get much.

The processor is capable of well over 2300 mhz, so I know this is not the problem. Is it just that the board can not handle a FSB this high?

if its a socket 754, those chips have really weak memory controllers. youd be lucky to get over 230 fsb stable. i can only get mine to 227-228 before i get errors.
 
yes, it is socket 754 :(

I was hoping with this ram to hit around 250 1:1, as I know the processor is capable of it.
