I keep reading that if you can accomplis this then you can gain great performance. After reading Anand's overclocking system, I have found new faith in my setup.

Check my sig... anyway my question is how have you guys accomplished this? I know the P4 is locked so how do I do this?

I Can overclock by adjusting the frequency and but I am not sure how to figure the right settings? I know this is really n00bish but I need a little guidance.

Begone, spawn of darkness... and, oh, take your filthy pentium with you :D

Riiiiiiight.....that really helped a lot.

With a P4 the only real way you can keep your ram and cpu speeds in sync is to buy ram that suits your OC'ed speed. For example.....my OCZ PC4000EL does 267FSB at 1:1 which allows me to take my 2.6C up to 3.47GHz. If I want to go too far beyond 267 I'd have to end up buying some PC4400 or something to keep the dram ratio at 1:1.

For extreme overclockers 1:1 isn't always an option, 'cus there's no way you're going to accomplish it at ridiculous speeds like 290FSB or higher.

I stand by my BH-5, thank you very much.

On second though, i'll add this:

AAAAH INTEL ITS EVERYWHERE!! EEEVIL! EEEEEEEVIL I TELLS YE!!!

Alright that's what I figured... so harsh people... it's all good though.

Thanks anyway! :D

I would too, but I love the raw clocks rates of my ram. The tight timings would really help out my 3dmark2001 score though and I'd still be able to push some of that OCZ PC3200 BH6 to 240MHz or so at 1:1. Bah, to many options.....not enough cashola. :D
