I have a couple of copies of...

Dell Branded, OEM WindowsXP Pro CD (with Certificate of Authenticity)
- Under the terms of OEM sales, a piece of Dell branded hardware must be included...And will be included with the purchase
- These are Windows XP PRO CDs (NOT home)
- These are FULL version (NOT upgrade)
- These CDs are bootable (on systems that can boot from CD)
- The Certificate Of Authenticity will be on wax paper for easy peel-n-stick to whatever you want
- Though they are Dell branded, I GUARANTEE these CDs will install XP Pro Full version on ANY PC that meets the minimum system requirements to have XP installed
- I GUARANTEE these come with NEVER used Product Keys (on the COA) and that you will have NO issues with activation
- I GUARANTEE you are getting an AUTHENTIC OEM Bootable CD, not some burned copy

The price is $90 each (which includes USPS Priority Mail shipment). I accept non-cc PayPal, Money Order or Cashier's Check.
Here's a link to pictures of the product: LINK

How I ship:
- Upon receiving payment, your package will be sent out the next business day using USPS Priority Mail, which actually includes Saturdays
- Once the package is sent, I will contact you with the Delivery Confirmation number
- Your item will be PROPERLY protected for the journey! I NEVER send items without some form of bubble-wrap or peanuts and in a USPS Priority Mail corrugated box

My credentials:
I'm brand new to the HardForums and also to Heatware, but I do have a few:
Namuna's Heat
I also have eBay Feedback as reference:
Namuna's Feedback

Thank you.

good deal

dell OEM disks are the same as the real thing, I can vouch for that

Which would be?

Would like to buy one. Shoot me an email at zachusafATyta.attmil.ne.jp with details for payment.

Thanks

these things install on any computer? I have boxes of them thought they only worked on dells. How did you get the cdkey not installed on the computers? all mine came fixed on the sides

Same here, I trash these disks daily because the damn key is stuck to the side of for computer or on the bottom of the lappy.

To answer your questions...

- Included hardware is random (hence I didn't write something specifically down), but it will be Dell branded hardware and with a Dell Part Number on it. Might be a floppy drive, drive cable, or some other item.

- No, I was not banned at AT. I was told by their Mods that they shutdown my thread because I was selling 'multiple' copies and I was perceived as a dealer. While I am NOT a dealer, I respect their decision and as such I'm sure HardForums has similar policy and I will only offer a couple of copies here and move on.

- These are Dell branded, WindowsXP CDs...NOT restore CDs. Yes, they WILL install XP on ANY box (as stated in my description) and not just Dell. I can make that statement because I myself have used these CDs on a Toshiba Laptop, Fujitsu Laptop, IBM Laptop and 2 self-built PCs

I think what he is saying is these have never been on a computer including the sticker, unless I am missing something.

Due to legal reasons Microsoft makes all computer manufacturers put the COA sticker on the computer itself. Thus, since it is a Dell like the ones I get in every day the COA is stuck on the top of the computer if it is a tower or on the bottom if it is a lappy. These stickers are also scored so if you try to remove it, it rips apart and can't be used. Thus, I just want to know how he gets them off. . .

Razor blades work wonders. I can take made to crumble stickers off a flat surface with ease, just takes a little time.

Most likely he used a razor blade(take the one out of a box cutter, you know, the triangle like ones), or he used one in conjunction with a hairdryer.

And taking a look at the picture of the sticker, looks like he definately used a hairdryer.

If I didn't already have a no-activation academic copy of XP Pro, I would be all over this.

Btw, is there any activation with these copies? I might refer a few friends if they are activation free.

All I'm going to say on this subject is that my COAs are 100% intact, on wax paper and ready to be applied to whatever you want.

Nanuma-

You going to email me payment details or what? Trying to take one of these off your hands...............:)

Sorry, I did a cut-n-paste on your listed email...Only just relized I had to do a little substitution. :)

You've got email and PMs :D

with only 7 heat and 32 eGay, and new to this board, you're a little light in the refs depatment. are you willing to ship first to more established traders? (check my sig) i'd be interested in both as a packaged deal, my Pop needs another XP pro as well as me.....

responded to your email. sorry, i will not pay first with your refs and newly registared status.:( good luck-

not to thread crap but it sounds to me like they are being lifted either from dell themselves.. or some reseller or something.

Plus it seems your asking more established traders to pay first which looks a little suspecious.

Actually, I suggested a middle ground of cross shipping/payment...NOT that he pay first.

While my Heat/Feedback is still relatively 'fresh' the comments speak for themselves and while I am new to HF I've been around Anandtech for a LONG time (I only bring up AT, because someone else in this thread mentioned it).

I completely sympathized about being leary of trusting someone with somewhat new credentials, but that's the reason I offered the 'middle ground'...And while I don't have a HUGE amount of Heat/Feedback, I've got more than just a couple.

I'm also able to accept Credit Card funded PayPal (but it's an additional 3% on the cost to cover the fees). So if anyone else is leary, like topcat or cyr0n_k0r, you can it do it this way with the CC protection too.

While I dunno where he has gotten the keys, I can say that I was able to take them off of a HP cover I had, and put it on wax paper, all without it ripping.

I too would like to know exactly how these were obtained.

Here's an idea. People can buy them or not. I understand people's trepidation in wanting to buy from soneone new, but I find it ironic how quick people are to judge in this forum. The guy has seemed to be honest thus far. Especially if he was willing to meet Topcat half way (according to what he said). That's a good sign to me. Definitely not trolling that's for sure. Sometimes here it becomes a pissing contest. I got 1 billion-0 heatware, therefore I will not pay half or anything till I see it. Like it's a badge of honor or something. The whole point of heatware is to make sure you're dealing with someone honestly. It does not entitle you to free dibs to try before you buy. If the guy is honest it should not be an issue. Meet them halfway. Trust me, I am willing to definitely meet someone half way, but I am not shipping product without getting half the money up front that's for sure. Just an opinion. Please understand, I do empathize with wanting to be careful and not get ripped off, but I for one want to give the guy a break unless he is proven to be a troll or something.

Its not only about getting ripped off.

Its his avoidence of how he is able to sell these so cheap.

He wont say exactly how he is obtaining this software. For all we know its an inside job from dell or something.

I doubt it. Like I said, people here fly off the handle yet if it were someone who had been here even a few weeks it would be cool. I doubt it's a problem. And if you think so I would alert the mods. If I don't like it, I don't buy it. And if you must voice your opinion then pm him. Maybe it's just me, but I like to be certain before crapping a guy's thread...

Alright, I can see the mistrust on these forums runs long and deep...Did I step into a shark's tank where people are so regularly screwed that so much mistrust ensues?

I have some suggestions to the folks that are particularly smitten:
- Look at my Heat evals, email the people (Heat allows you to email people throug their system) and ask them how their transaction with me was...I'll bet ANYONE who actually bothers to do this that they get nothing but GLOWING remarks about my communication, fast/protective shipping and quality product.
- Do the same for the eBay Feedback
- 1 of the people that bought an XP pack from me had problems activating (his internet connection was dropping) so he CALLED MICROSOFT AND ACTIVATED OVER THE PHONE (that should speak VOLUMES to the validity of these COAs).

There's no gimmick or dark treaties or any such nonsense here, I say what I sell and I sell what I say. No surprises, no tricks.

And the reason I'm not going to tell you where I get my items is because it's none of your business, I've been able to find a source that gives me a special discount and I'm NOT giving that info up. You don't like it? Too bad, don't buy. There's PLENTY of other HAPPY folks that've bought from me.

...I apologize for getting crass, it just gets a little tiring to have to be constantly defending myself here.

what he called halfway was basically he would provide me with a tracking or delivery confirmation#, and I would pay....before i got the package. I wanted to recieve the package, evaluate it(make sure it was all kosher), and then pay. I felt with my trade rep, and his, that that was not asking too much. He dceclined, as was his right. I wished him luck, no hard fellings, end of story.

even though we couldn't work out an agreement, I have to agree with Namuna here. Namuna should understand that there have been trolls on this board, people have been ripped off, and so peeps will be cautios (god i can't spell:rolleyes: ) as far as paying first to you. aside from that, there hasn't been anything that i can tell that has warranted anything more then polite cuation that would be due anyone who is new seller here. Namuna was polite and did make an effort to address my concerns, it just wasn't enough in my opinion. Nothing wrong with that. We should be able on this board to politely disagree on terms and move on, no [H]ard feelings:eek:

as far as "how is he able to sell so cheap, blah blah" Numuna is right again. As long as it's not illegal, it's none of you Damn business. I wouldn't care if he got them out of a cracker jack box, as long as they are as described:eek:

I have two cpus an one gig and an 633 celeron socket 370. maybe both for an disk with code.

Sorry Crazy tech, I'm not looking for any CPUs.

The only thing I'd really consider at the moment as a trade would be a 200gb (or larger) hd.

Bump for a guy who is getting abused for offering what seems to be a good deal.

As someone who works for a company who builds and sells computers with OEM copies of Windows XP, I can attest to a couple of things:

First, removing a COA from a computer is really easy using a heatgun/hair dryer and a razor blade. We do it when we need to, for instance if a customer would like one of our prebuilt systems transferred into a different case. all it takes is the right temperature and a little patience. The temp is key though...too cool and the thing will start to tear slightly. Too hot, and the sticker will come off, but the adhesive will stay on the case. On metal cases, a heatgun aimed at the backside of the side panel for about 30 seconds is enough to loosen the sticker so that it's easy to remove.

Second, the legality of selling the software with a non-peripheral piece of hardware is 100% cool with Microsoft. If Namuna sells the software with any hardware that is not ESSENTIAL in a functional computer, he is POSSIBLY in violation of the OEM System Builder license on the software. As Microsoft does not publish a comprehensive list of what exactly it considers ESSENTIAL, it is up to Namuna and the buyer to decide for themselves if they are in compliance.

Third, I can understand why Namuna may decline to say exactly how he has acquired these copies of Windows. If these copies of Windows were ever INSTALLED on a machine, and had the COA affixed to the machine chassis, whether they have been activated or not, it is against the OEM System Builder License to transfer them to another machine. We run up against this all the time. If we have a customer who would like XP Pro installed on one of our prebuilt systems that has XP Home preinstalled, they are required to purchase the XP Pro OEM in addition to the XP Home. We cannot remove stickers and transfer them to another machine for any reason, even if they have not been registered or activated. In this case, I'd say you have the right to ask, and Namuna has the right to deny you this information, and it will be up to you to decide whether the deal is within the terms of the license or not, and base your buying decision accordingly. Don't knock him if he's vague about it, as nobody is forcing anyone to buy anything if they are not comfortable.

lol well now i just gotta say something that anit been said yet, i understand why he wouldnt ship first, and ive had a few ship to me first, its a cd and a key what would stop someone from getting it first , copying the cd and key then sending it back to him, with some crap story. Then the seller sells it again and someone gets a copy that someone else already has!

ya thats why i wouldnt ship em first
oh well had to add my 2 cents,

and on another note why the hell would you ever buy a copy of windows when its so easy to just download it and get a keygen

i know its pricacy but its wrong how much microsuck charges for there product lol

Just a quick question.
Is it 'Illegal' to install a copy of Windows on more then one System that YOU own?
