- Embedded/Single Board Computer related stuff
- 12 volt with 4a or better power supplies - LCD/laptop style with the barrel connector
- 512MB, CL2.5, DDR333 or better SODIMM, need two

Intel Core 2 Duo T7400 Merom Engineering Sample - First things first, this chip was not very stable for me on an embedded 3.5" board. Booted and ran apps fine, but the system would crash under heavy load. No idea if it was cooling, power, some kind of problem with the board. No idea how it would be in a laptop or desktop board. Due to this, the price is low, BUT IT IS SOLD AS IS!!! 2.16GHz, 4MB cache

Advantech C3 667MHZ Single Board Computers - 3.5" Embedded Biscuit sized, 4" x5.75", same as a 3.5" hard drive. I've got a few of these, was building PCs in the old Radiation Meters listed below. 667MHz CPU, 256MB RAM included. No fans needed. Throw in a good sized compact flash card and they won't make any noise at all. PC104 connector, add a PCMCIA board and wirless card for a teeny router or WAP. These are even overclockable, although I wouldn't trust them much beyond their rated 667MHz. Limited amount of cables, may have some spare USB and audio cables I can throw in.

Dell 1401FP - Actually the LCD screen from a WebPC setup, but will work with any PC that has a DVI output. Very good quality, although after 5 years it needs a few seconds for the backlight to get to full brightness. 1024x768, 14.1" diagonal. No stand but has 75mm VESA mounting holes on the back. Has built-in cables for DVI, microphone, and the built-in speakers which actually sound pretty damned good. Seriously, the built-in powered speakers are the best I've ever heard. Comes with power supply and cord as well as a DVI extension cable. This has been my secondary monitor for over two years and my primary for the three before that. Believe me when I say it's a good one.

I've got an 18.5V/6.5A PSU from a Compaq R3000 laptop that I have no use for. Any interest? I might be able to use that Celeron M in the IBM Thinkpad R31 I recently acquired. I'm having a heck of a time finding the documentation that tells me what this thing is compatible with. :confused:

JCJones86, really need to stick to 12 volt only adapters right now. And if I remember right, the R31 used PIII Tualatin-mobile core chips, so the Celeron I have won't work for you.
 
do you have any pictures of the 'Metal Gear' hard drive enclosure?

bump for a good trader! got my item fast and well packaged. Just a question though, the embedded boards:

What PSU do you need to power them? a 12v molex? (from what I can see) and do they have audio out for something like a Carpc?
 
They just need a regular hard drive molex. They should also be able to run on 5 volts only. Pretty sure they won't run off of only the 12 volt, though. I've used old AT power supplies and even ones from external SCSI drive cases to power these. The only bad thing is that for ATX-style soft-off you need an ATX PSU and a special cable that I've not been able to find. I did make one out of a Wake-On-Lan cable, but I'm not sure if all WOL cables have the right connector for the board header.

They have onboard audio with a pin header for the cables. As of right now I only have one audio cable, though, so first buyer gets that. It is possible to make your own, of course, but the boards have a narrower pitch header than full-size boards. Something like this would make things much easier for making cables.
