All codes Give a UPlay key so they do need a uplay account
To redeem you first go here:
http://www.geforce.com/PickYourPath
this will then have you enter the code given to you after the sale, pick your game, then enter your information
you will then receive an e-mail link to the game at the UBI shop, and a code to apply at checkout. Once you apply the code the game will show up free and you can finish checking out.
Upon checkout you will now have a code at the UBI Shop and delivered to your e-mail. If you already had a UPLAY account tied to your UBI Shop account then the game will automatically show up in UPLAY
