This New 3DS is in like new condition and was only used to configure the custom firmware. This is the latest model 3DS with the much faster CPU, additional shoulder buttons, and a second analog nub.
Note: this is the Animal Crossing edition of the New 3DS, but the faceplates are intechangeable. You can get tons of varieties directly from Nintendo, or cheap plain colors from eBay. (Example: Black Plastic Protective Case Cover Lid Replacement for New Nintendo 3DS)
It is now running the latest Nintendo firmware 10.7.0 and boots directly to it using arm9loaderhax
What does this custom firmware allow you to do?
This custom firmware was not trivial to set up and many hours were spent doing this carefully. At any step in the process the system could've been irrecoverably bricked, so this setup adds considerable value.
I will include the OTP file (difficult to obtain security key for this specific 3DS) and a backup of the original sysnand in case you want to restore it to its original state.
As of the current firmware version it is updatable, online play works for the games, the eShop is usable, etc.
There are no scratches, dents, crachs, cheeto dust or any imperfections.
It also comes with a 3DS charger and a 16GB MicroSD card.
Bottom line: you don't need an expensive Gateway card with this!

- Overclock games! (Only possible on the New 3DS/XL)
- Play region free cartridges
- Emulators like Retroarch for NES, SNES, GBA, Sega
- Install Virtual Console games, including custom VC Nintendo doesn't offer!
- Stream video of your gameplay! (On NTR CFW: )
- Edit game saves, like Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Final Fantasy
