I bought PowerColor 9800 from newegg yesterday . 256bit and some of them are softmoddable to 9800Pro using either ocfaq.com or Omega drivers. I used OCfaq and here are some results

3dmark03

3631 - stock

5229 - softmod

I'm selling it because I'm getting used 9800XT from friend. I want $159 shipped. Everything is included. PayPal (non cc), MO, and checks are acceptable. Thanks

bUmp ocfaq.com drivers owned my 9500NP >> 9700 til it died (cuz of me )
 
Wait softmod? is this a 9800 SE or a 9800np? If its a 9800np with samsung Im interested.
 
I think that's the PowerColor 9800SE that's being mentioned at Fatwallet. People are having mix results in trying to softmod them to 9800 pro. Looks like the seller was sucessful.
 
If it is a SE the seller needs to be a little bit clearer on what they are selling...A 9800 is not a 9800SE!!

? there's no physical MOD done to the card to achieve 9800Pro speeds. I used softmod (tweaked drivers)

i got better 3dmarks than your unmodded with my POS Dell and 9700 non-pro. (no overclocking at all)


4010 3dmarks.
 
9700 Pro here stock i was getting 5100 3dmark2k3, 16.6K 3dmark2001.

Over clocked in my sig im getting 5.5k in 3dmark2003 and 17.1K in 3dmark2001.

When i first saw the post i thought it was a 9800NP, anyway bump for you.
 
Flaming is a ban worthy offense here, if you have issues with the card or the price contact the user via PM.

what kinda memory is on that card? If it's got Samsung memory and you can guarantee that softmod, I would probably be interested.

wow ram chips are rated for 350 mhz... that's pretty sweet!

so you've successfully softmodded this correct?

no artifacting or anything?
