If you are interested in the Elgato capture card for PS3 recording, I will make you a package deal with the HDMI converter. The Elgato includes a Ps3 adapter, however that adapter forces you to record at lower quality and is far from ideal.

Paypal is the only accepted payment method.

What does the HDMI converter, convert the video signal into for the Elgato?

What does the HDMI converter, convert the video signal into for the Elgato?

The HDMI converter box basically bypasses the HDCP protection on the Ps3's HDMI port. There are other options such as an HD Fury, but this option works beautifully and is probably the cheapest option as well. It will merge the Ps3's audio and video and record over the full 1080p HDMI connection.

I couldn't find much info on the converter. Is it

DVI/Digital -> HDMI
DVI/Digital <- HDMI
DVI/Digital <-> HDMI

How's the quality? Any pics?

DVI & S/PDIF Digital Coax/Optical Toslink Audio to HDMI® Converter

This DVI Video + S/PDIF audio to HDMI® converter combines your DVI-D digital video with your S/PDIF Digital Coax or Digital Optical Toslink Audio signal from your source devices and outputs them in HDMI® format. This allows you to connect your legacy DVI High Def Video sources to your newer HDMI® HDTVs and A/V receivers. No need to replace the high end video player you bought only a few years ago just because it doesn't support HDMI®. Reduces the clutter by combining the digital video and audio output of your device into one HDMI® cable.

The quality is great, built like a tank, it's a metal box similar to a network switch. I may be able to get some pics up @ lunch.
