Never seriously overclocked (I have an Intel DP35DP motherboard). I used Soft FSB to test it out, and took it from 2.66 - > 3.0, 2 hour Prime 95 stable on stock cooler. I ran it that way for a couple weeks, but it was a pain in the ass to reclock it with Soft FSB every reboot, so after that I ran it stock. Considering I can't even touch my vcore and this motherboard has zero real overclocking functions, I'm guessing the chip is probably pretty good, but since I really couldn't test it, who knows.

Recently purchased a Q6600, since I don't play as many games anymore and do more video encoding than anything else. Figured my recent chip change will last me until late next year to rebuild a whole new system.
