I decided to downgrade my whole setup, I'm getting into bicycling now. Also let me know if you want any fans, cables, 12" CCFL's, tubing, etc for a buck extra, I'll see what I have.

::cheers::

If you're getting into cycling, I'd consider checking out bikesdirect.com

(not to spam or anything, but they have absurdly good prices, assuming you're not looking to go full brand name carbon fiber everything)

Yea, I've built a bike for someone else off bikesdirect.com

They have really good deals. Luckily, i live in the most bike friendly town in USA, portland oregon. I was able to pick up shimano 105 and dura ace parts during the winter and built an alu/carb frame up for only 400$ about.

Right now I've just stripped all the parts and paint off an 80's rampar that I'm converting to a fixie that will be almond colored with burgundy red lugs.

next i think I'm going to try my hand at brazing together a steel frame for touring that uses custom carved lugs. Looks like materials to braze a frame is about 300$ for the tubes and 140$ for a set of lugs, plus the acetylene torch is cheap. Just have to make sure I do it right so my bike doesn't break down mid tour!

I'll post some pictures of my project if your interested
