--- On a scale of 1 - 10, this laptop is a solid 8. The case has some scratches, the hinges have 1/2" of play, the media keys are faded and the palm rest shows wear but the screen still looks good and it runs like a champ! This was a gaming laptop until I got my T61.
- Windows 7 ulitmate installed but will send the OEM recovery disc which has XP/Vista on it.

Eyeing the FX 5500 PCI. Need one for an older board that doesn't have AGP slot.
 
Well, I'll tell you it works great! That's the one I've been using for an older motherboard that the AGP slot didn't work in. It works wonderfully and played older games wonderfully!

Did you try calling Oakley to ask for a quote on repairing the Penny? 800-403-7449
 
Yeah, Oakley don't service the penny any more. I actually have a set of copper penny's that I bought from a guy locally here in charlotte metro area. They had Ruby Iridium lenses in them which are NOT what they came with from Oakley. They were in piss poor shape. They were recovered from the bottom of Lake Norman and were a cruddy but worst of all they had as much play in them as a 65 chevy truck steering wheel!

After much research, I convinced Oakley of Austraila to take a look at them and repair them. They used Juliet parts, cut them down, and tightened them up PERFECTLY. $65 and 4 months later, I got them back..and they are exquisite. I polished them up and got the lake crud of them and used the VR28 Black iridium lenses that came in the Penny's that I'm trying to sale (which are the ones that came in these from Oakley to begin with). I'm so happy with the way they came out. Now I have a set $1000 shades that I paid only $180 total for! I tried to get the lady who fixed these to fix the other pennys that I have, but I think after the trouble she had to go through to get these fixed, she wasn't going to go thru the hassle of fixing another set. I know somewhere out there, there is a shop that will fix these. I've looked at the nose piece taken apart and it's just a simple matter of disassmbling the nose, bending the right side back to the right angle and somehow soldering/welding/rigging the left frame loop so that it can be placed back in the nose piece. All the washers are tight still. I'm just tired of looking around. If I don't sell them, maybe I'll attempt it myself someday.
