WRT54G V1.1 $20
Running the most current DD-WRT VINT firmware. All major chips have custom heatsinks on them. this unit is rigged to be virtually brick proof. Unplugging the unit forces it into emergency flash mode. There is a downside to this, it needs to be on UPS power or the unit will jump to emergency flash every time the power goes out. An easy remedy for those without a UPS is to simply turn on the unit without ethernet plug to your modem connected. After a few seconds, the unit will simply begin to boot DD-WRT. Also have a spare WRT case yours for free, great for case modding.
