There are no scratches and it looks like new. There's a very minor bump on the bottom left corner (see pic). It is in perfect working order, no blemishes on the screen and the battery holds a charge well.

The 500GB hard drive was wiped and OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard was reinstalled, so when you receive it it will be at the new computer welcome screen as seen in the pictures.

1k for a 2yrold + lappy? does Icrap really hold value that well?

sure does. they go for at least $1200 most other places and ~$1350 on apple's refurbished site.

IMO, i5 is pretty darn close to an i7, ram can easily be upgraded to 8GB or more for ~$30, it has thunderbolt, and finally the 1680x1050 res screen on a 15" frame is excellent and compares to a retina display. there's nothing else that's aged except perhaps the weight on only the retina model.

Good luck and correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe your MBP has thunderbolt. I think the 1350 on Apple's site is 2011 not 2010.

Thanks. Your right. It does not have thunderbolt.

they've actually been holding their value extremely right up until apple released that 15" retina MBP and then dropped the price of the MBA's while upping the ram to 8gb. if you've been following trending prices on CL right before the last spec bumps from apple this summer, you'd have been amazed how much $$$ people were able to get for up to 3 yr old C2D's.

this ^ is 100% true. second hand prices for macbooks have plunged as of late due to the most recent gen's prices/specs.

the comment about 1680x1050 res comparable to the new retina is lol-able though.

bump4u though

yeah, a lot of thread craps in here-this is a great price for a 2010 15", more in line with what a 13" would sell for. bump for a good deal.
