Fry's and Processors

damn sounds lik a typical circuit city....the frys in houston arent that bad but are often overly priced unless the product is on sale and the people there are usually pro AMD..... you even hear hicks talk with their accents about the "ahhTH-Lon sis-tee fore" and such and the ecs mobos usually sell fast comboed with a cpu since it costs as much as a cpu itself (basically a free mobo with a purchase of the cpu)

the worst thing ive seen was sum idiot saleman directin a lady to a $130 dvd burner when she was looking for the $40 one that was on sale.....i felt soo bad to the point where i juss showed her the one on sale in front of the salesman

so overrall at the frys in houston on I-45, AMD outsells intels ;)

When I worked at the local Best Buy, the majority of people in the PC department, as well as the tech actually knew a thing or two about PCs. I'd say that about 90% actually owned AMD over Intel, and those who did own Intel were mainly laptop owners who wanted the battery life of the Pentium M. The sad part is that the CompUSA across the street was known for telling people that AMD had gone bankrupt and was closing down. We had several people come to us after visiting them and asking us why were were selling AMD if they were closing down.

At the CompUSA I work at, mainly the guys are pro best (insert fastest/better value) solution at any given time. Right now that is AMD. Most of the guys here prefer AMD, however alot of them run Intel's for the simple fact that they all purchased the Retail Edge bundle that year because they don't make crap for money and can't afford more.
