Well my problem is I get artifacts with my 9800 Pro AIW at stock speeds. I'm not sure if its my CPU or my 9800 pro AIW. I turn settings on both down and it both helps get rid of the artifacts. When in game (DX 9) I get texture courrrption. Almost looks like some of the textures have inverted color or the texture is blocky. My CPU is also runing at stock speeds. I think I may have fryed a pipe line(some how?) or somewhat fryed my CPU and its amazingly still runing. I havent checked to look for any burnt marks on my card and I will do that in a second. I have 10 case fans and 1 huge fan since the artifacts blowing in my case. Thanks for any help in advanced.

9800 Pro AIW
AMD Althon XP 1800+
512 DDR RAM

I would definately take out the card and look at it for any visible damage. A capacitor could've blown, or a resistor giving out or something of the like. Maybe even your fan failed.

No burt marks on the card. Witch means it could be CPU related. Any ideas? I have seen cases where peoples CPUs die and they only get artifacts and horrible proformance and than they take off the heatseak to have it fall into a million peaces. I just hope that isnt the case >_<

Looks like you're going to have to take off the heatsink, and I wouldn't be too optimistic at this point, unfortunately.

Had a 9500 do something similar. Didn't show damage till I removed the still functioning fan and discovered the fry job underneath

errr... Ill just leave everything as it is and under clocked everything for now. Once I have enough money ill just build a new system than check to see if anything got fryed.

wow 10 case fans, unless you got those puny 80mms with speed control, you are deaf to be able to withstand that kind of noise.
