frustrating

My fileserver is getting an upgrade. My 5x300 R5 array is getting swapped to a 3x750 array (still R5). 300GiB of extra space. Yay! right?
I dont have enough power jacks for 9 SATA drives. :(
So I have to order some splitters from newegg since my local CUSSR doesn't have any. As I said. Frustrating. I could free one up by losing the raptor (but Id have to install another OS on my spare 120) but beyond that, I have 0 free as is and would need 3 to install, format, and copy to the new array.

I dont have 1.2TiB (the setup as is is FULL) to temp store on either.

I are sad puppy. :(
 
i´d say loose the raptor and install the OS in the other disc, i guess it´s time to start burning some of the pr0n to make some room ;)
 
grjr's post was a reference to my title. But I had to point out the thread to him so he can be safely ignored as irrelevant.

edit: I <3 FAQs that dont actually reference what they contain but give you the answer to your question.

And I found 2 molex->2 SATA power connectors in my box-o-computer-shit. YAY.
