I have no header on my ASUS A7V Mobo that will take the mic and headfone pins from the front is there any toher way to get them working?

Yeah. These go into the place where teh audio is: The SOUND CARD... lol.

If you don't ahve a sound card, but still hear music, you're not looking hard enough.

If it _really_ has no header, look at the back of the PC. Cut two old 3.5 mm jacks off of some speaker wire, solder the mic/spkrwires to them, stick em in the right places (green for speaker, red/pik for mike).

PS: I hae that mobo... does it say "sound" on the package? If yes Yuo=blind)

listen mate dont make me out to be a dumbass because i build pc's its just i wondered if there was an alternative thats all because my pc technicians in college said they go on the board

Those pc techs are wrong, but do this. Your case should have come with the adapter that the headers plug into, then that adapter should attach into your sound card ports on the back.
