i just got this micro-atx Codegen case from newegg. i want to hook up the front usb and audio ports, but cant find where to. i know how to do it on my motherboard, i just dont know where to connect the front. theres a small hole near my drive bays where the switch and led wires come through, but i cant get in to where they come from. and the front of the case doesnt come off. here's a link to it...

ill look at the Codegen site, but if anyone has suggestions, thanks!

Did they not include headers for the front ports to plug into your motherboard or something? It appears that everything you wanted to add is already in the front and you just need to connect the right wires to pins on your motherboard (look in the manual for the motherboard, and match up with the lables on the cable ends)

I had alot of trouble getting mine to work on my Chieftec case...alot of trial and error. I finally got it to work and found the problem to be the ground wires. There are 3 ground wires coming from the case, but only need to use 2 of them. Write to Codgen and ask for a spec sheet on it.

for the usb it'll be headers that go onto the motherboard

for the audio it will be 2 mini jacks on a cord that goes out the back and plugs into the audio ports on your board/card and basicly just forwards to the 2 connectors in the front

the usb/audio that you see in the front is alredy connected, you just have to plug them into their select spots

I hadf this trouble not so long ago..

Just got new mobo and its a panel called Audio1 mine is near the onboard sound which is a bummber because the wires will have to go right the way accross unless they will go behind the mobo

no its not. the wire was in the front of the case, it wasnt attached to anything. the only wires that are coming from the front are power switch, reset switch, power led, and hdd led. nothing else.

ah, well i found out the front part of the case comes off and i got it semi hooked up. now i have the 8 little wires i rig to the monitor for the 2 usb ports, but i also have normal 1/8" headphone plugs for the mic input and the headphone output. where do these go? my motherboard or sound card? i cant find where to put them.

"Mini jack" == "1/8" headphone plug"
