I'm using an old case with AC97 jumpers on the front panel and I was wonder if there was some sort of converter for HD-Audio jumpers.

Motherboards I've seen have an option in the BIOS to specify what kind of connector is plugged in to that port on the motherboard, you just go and select AC97 or HD audio and it works. What make/model motherboard do you have?

[edit] if it's the Biostar board in your sig there may not be anything you can do. I just looked through the manual and I don't see a setting for it listed in the BIOS. Perhaps one was added in an update?

Thanks, no update to do that in BIOS. I was hoping there was some sort of adapter I could buy. Oh well. I just don't like using a headphone extension cord from the back all the time :(.

I'm assuming you are using the Biostar TForce motherboard in your sig, and using the onboard audio?

Just plug the front panel connector into the JAUDIOF1 connector on the board. You don't need a converter as the connection is a standard AC97 configuration.

His case apparently only has a HD audio pin-out connector, so that's not an option. Different configuration.
