Do you like a door on the front of your case?

I hate them, they just get in the way and stop me from using my livedrive easily.
 
I hate front panel doors, its an inconvenience to have to open the door just to access your drives...Thats why i have a Antec P150, looks good and has -->NO DOORS<--
 
I currently don't have a door and its quite loud when its on. I'm hoping to get a P180 for my next build so that it helps block out some of the sound.
 
I dont really care if it has a door
some cases look good with a door coolermaster wavemaster
others dont need one lian li v1000
 
yep. cases with drive bays down the whole front i think need some kind of door (even a small one like my armour) otherwise it looks OTT...
 
I don't really like doors, my PC-71 looks great without one, but the PC-A10 has a door and it looks good too. :)
 
I like them. When done properly they look good and block out some of the sound from the front fans and drives.
 
I like my lian-li without doors. Although I do like the sleek look of the lian-li with doors.

Lots of somewhat awesome cases have doors, which make Arcy angry.
 
They suck if you use your pc as a dvd player, or have to swap discs alot for games that don't have no-cd patches, or burn alot of stuff. If you don't do any of that then I guess they're fine. :p

I have 95% of my games that don't have no-cd patches ISOed on my PC so I don't need the disk in. Virtual drives FTW! Btw, I <3 doors. Love sleek looking PCs.
 
I like doors to cover up any mismatched or generally ugly bay devices, however at the same time I like to see various controllers or LCDs mounted in those same bays.
 
I'm not a fan of the doors, BUT I do like the Silverstone TJ-03 and CM ATC-100. They're both good looking and don't feel flimsy.
 
Depends what the case is being used for.
Im planning on getting a case to be a server, and id like a panel that locks so i dont got people tampering with it.
 
front doors makes the case look stylish.. I have a Cooler Master Cavalier with front doors and I have a live drive as well but don't use it very often but even if I did, I'd still like the front doors :p
 
I like em'.. nice and clean. Plus, they cover up my mismatched drives.. but hey, they're Plextor's sooooo...
 
Cannot stand front panel doors personally.

Just about everyone I know who has a front panel door has it open most of the
time for one reason or another.

And why do most (not all) cases have them open to the left? Most people have
their case to their right forcing them to reach across the open door.

I like to hide drives that are slightly different colors with doors. With my main rig I use Daemon Tools and mount ISO's that I will use. I hardly ever use something not saved as an ISO on my computer, so it's not a problem at all.
 
When done right, a door can be a nice addition. Like one that has METAL hinges, and or is MADE of METAL. Plastic doors with shoddy little tabs for hinges need to die (I'm looking at you Chieftec!)
 
I burn a lot of DVDs so I can't stand doors. I run my PC without a front panel just to not have to deal with the door.
 
It's all in the implementation. I've seen crappy doors and I've seen sleek doors. My current case doesn't have them, but many of my previous PC's did. They're nice when they're nicely done.
 
Loathe doors.

Love my new CM Stacker101 case - a pc doesn't need doors to look elegant.
 
Funny thing. I didn't want a door with my main rig, but I ended up getting a case with one because it was the coolest one that spoke to me. Coolermaster Cavalier T03 (with the analogue Vu meter in front)

I guess a door is ok, just as long as I don't have to open it just to cut it on. That's just useless. Also a door can quiet down loud optical drive spinup. But my next main rig will certainly NOT have a door.



 
If it gives you easy access to plug in a USB drive or whatever, then why not?
 
I like the front door. Looks more professional hiding my drives, lights, and fan controller.
 
I've never owned a case with a door, but most of my past builds would have mismatched drives and crap and aesthetically, doors would've been great.
